The Designer

ET LE BIJOU CREA LA FEMME is a Belgian jewellery label created in 1999 by the designer Joëlle Van de Voorde.

She started the label after studying Monumental sculpture at the Royal Academy of Arts and Design in Brussels. 

Selected by museum stores, boutique hotels and concept stores, her collections have been exhibited around the world. 

Many European and American celebrities have fallen in love with ET LE BIJOU CREA LA FEMME’s jewellery. 

All collections are handcrafted and made in limited series with great attention to detail which guaranty optimal quality. 

The creative process starts with the materials, their shapes, textures, colours and symbolism. At the origin of each piece the idea of collecting and bringing together all these materials to create a new design with a contemporary identity which can start its own journey through the world. 

Semi-precious stones, Murano Glass and natural materials have been sourced from Joëlle’s frequent trips worldwide. The brand has acquired its own recognizable style over the years.

As a little girl, Joëlle was fascinated by playing with beads and creating accessories for her and her friends.

This nearly intuitive attraction inspires her, guiding her first creative works.
